Recognize.im API goes public

We are glad to announce that today our image recognition API service Recognize.im, which can be used to leverage the growing trend for virtual stores and mobile-based purchasing, goes public. Until now the service was available by invitation only. Think about the opportunities.

From today anyone can register for a free account and upgrade it if a larger database is needed. With the basic account you will get the code needed to build an image recognition mobile app, and you can create an app in less than half an hour. Just download and compile the code and upload pics that need to be recognized.

With our enterprise solutions, you can upload up to 20 million pictures at once to our server, which Recognize.im’s algorithm can parse in just over a second.

Since our technology is able to recognize photos of billboards, papers, magazines, LED or TV screens taken by a smartphone, it opens up a wide range of possibilities. You can even upload still shots of a YouTube movie and make them interactive – just define the action to be taken after the movie has been recognized, for example, you can send someone to iTunes or Google Play Market when they take a photo of a music clip!

The estimated market value for image recognition applications will top nearly four and half billion dollars next year. Can you see the big picture? So, what are you waiting for… get cracking!

Don’t forget to let us know, when your app is complete, because we will be glad to help you with promotion by putting it in our Showcase Section.
