Unilever’s app is using image recognition to promote Knorr products.

Recently Unilever has updated its Polish most popular mobile application Przepisy.pl and added an image recognition feature powered by the Recognize.im API.

Przepisy.pl is one of the most popular applications in Poland with more than 600 000 downloads. It contains thousands of great, well-described recipes and it is a priceless help for anyone who can’t figure out what to prepare for dinner. The app provides detailed information on ingredients that you need to prepare particular meal and allows you to add all the ingredients to your shopping list powered by Listonic mobile app. Przepisy.pl also gives you an easy, step by step instructions on how to prepare a meal and you can even watch a video guide. And if you have no idea what to cook the app will show you new ideas for any day.

Przepisy.pl promotes Knorr products by showing them on the ingredient list of every recipe. Photo recognition technology connects the products directly with the recipes. You can just take a picture of any Knorr product to check which recipes contain this particular product. Using image recognition you will learn new ways to prepare the products you already have. It also helps you choose which product you should buy when you are in the store. Being able to instantly check what you can cook using Knorr products is a great new value for customers and it will definitely increase overall sales in the long term.

Does Recognize.im have the ability to process a single photo of several to hundreds of individual objects and return a single image for each of those objects?
