SaveUp, mobile application designed for smartphones, allows immediate purchases. It identifies the products by photos taken with a phone camera thanks to advanced image recognition technology. Chosen products can then be ordered and picked up at home. It opens new opportunity for printed ads, where each printed information turns into sales channel.
Abovementioned technology has already been featured many times in the international arena. It was successfully implemented in application Art4Europe, which won the pan-European competition Hack4Europe in the category: “App with the greatest commercial potential”. The award was given to our programmers by Neelie Kroes – European Commissioner for Digital Agenda and Vice-President of the European Commission.
Art4Europe identifies works of art. Then application shows user all the specific information about it, translated into his native language. However, at the moment only test version is available for a small group of programmers. It is not available in any store dedicated for mobile devices (as opposed to SaveUp, which can already be downloaded from the Apple Store for free). More information can be found at: http://www.art4europe.com/
The iTraff’s image recognition technology was also praised by the Minister of Economy of Poland, Waldemar Pawlak, who invited the company representatives for a special press conference.
